Introduction

This is a continuation of Parts One and Two. Some of the information in this part will be a repeat of what was already in other parts. Yet, there is some information added to what was in the other parts. Therefore it would be helpful to read all that is in the other parts first for a better understanding of this subject of "Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding."

In Proverbs 2:6 it says, "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." The LORD is God with the Father and the Holy Spirit. God has "all" wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

To obtain unto eternal life in heaven, Christians must have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. To get this wisdom, knowledge, and understanding it must come from the LORD.

The Devil does not have true wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Wisdom was given to Lucifer, but he corrupted it and sealed it up and sinned against God. Satan's heart was lifted up because of his position that God had given him.

Satan was one of three known anointed cherubs in God's creation. These are sometimes called archangels, as was Michael in Jude 1:9. The three known to us are Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer (now called Satan, the Devil). Each of these three were anointed with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Because of Lucifer's anointing, beauty, and position he exalted himself to be like God. This is a warning for those who have an anointing from God to serve God by the ability given to them. Never use the anointing for your own benefit. Using the anointing to promote yourself could result in the same eternal end as that of Lucifer.

The anointing is to be used for serving the LORD, not for our own glory. If anyone takes the glory that belongs to God for their own purpose, it could lead them to eternity in hell, along with Satan and his followers.

Do not corrupt the anointing. Do not use the anointing for personal gain. The anointing does not belong to the one who is anointed with the true anointing. The anointing is "the ability to do the will of God," and is not for any other purpose.

The world today, is operating by "the knowledge of good and evil" (Gen. 2:9,17; 3:6,17). This knowledge of good and evil is corrupted by the Devil. Therefore, the knowledge of good and evil that the world lives by will only lead to two deaths (physical death of the physical body, and eternal death in hell with Satan and his followers).

We must do what the New Covenant tells us to do. We must be born again and then walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. We must sow to the spirit and not to the flesh. The flesh of mankind is still mortal, and the souls of mankind are still corrupted. Therefore, we must "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding...In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5,6).

By the knowledge of good and evil, mankind's physical body became mortal and his soul became corrupted (Gen. 3:6). This morality and corruption will remain with us until we leave this world for the last time (1 Cor. 15:51-55).

For those who obey the LORD, and live according to the Word of God, when they leave this earth their mortal bodies will become immortal, the corruption in their souls will put on incorruption. Then they will be forever with the LORD.

Until that day, Christians must obey the LORD, and do the will of God here on earth. This can only be done by a full commitment to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength" (Mark 12:30). Then, "love thy neighbour as thyself" (Mark 12:31). These are our commandments given to us by the LORD Himself. If we keep these commandments, we will inherit eternal life with the LORD forever.

& Understanding

Part Three

Christians need to understand that God gives to those who obey Him every good thing they have. Whether it is wisdom, knowledge, or understanding, God gives every one of us life, and breath (Gen. 2:7, Job 12:10, 33:4). In James 1:17, it says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." God has many good and perfect gifts for Christians. God is love, and loves His children.

In the beginning, all good things came from God. In Genesis 1:31 it says, "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good..." God did not create corruption. Lucifer, now called Satan the Devil, corrupted that which God gave him. Satan tries to corrupt and destroy all that we have.

Speaking of those who are born again into the Body of Christ, Jesus said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." To do the will of the Father, we must have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the will of God.

The world only has the corrupted version of the knowledge of good and evil. The world is following "the god of this world," who has blinded the minds of all who do not believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 4:3,4 it says, "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost...In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

Wherever we look, we will see evidence of the corruption that Satan brought upon mankind. This corruption has come into the Churches today. Many, calling themselves Christians, have followed the corrupted version of the knowledge of good and evil, thereby leading many into deception by the enemy.

God has the true knowledge of good and evil. God created the knowledge of good and evil. God's version of the knowledge of good and evil is revealed in the Law of Moses. All that is good and all that is evil is explained in the Law of Moses.

Until Jesus came and fulfilled the Law of Moses for the Children of Israel, they were to live according to the knowledge of good and evil revealed in the Law of Moses. Jesus is the beginning of a New Covenant, based upon better promises. Hebrews 8:6 says, "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises."

Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses for those who are in Christ (which includes the Jews and the Gentiles). Christians were never under the Law of Moses. This does not mean the Law of Moses was not good. It was the best that was available to the Children of Israel at that time. Therefore, it was a schoolmaster to teach them the principles and doctrines of God, whereby they could be saved (Gal. 3:22-26).

The Children of Israel were saved, but they were never born again. There is a major difference between saved and born again. There is a major difference between grace and truth and the Law of Moses. There is a major difference between those who were under the Old Covenant and those who are in Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 11:11, "Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he." John the Baptist was not born again. John the Baptist was not a new creature in Christ.

Jesus is the beginning of a new creation of mankind, God and man joined together in one being. Never before was a man and God joined together in one being. Jesus is the beginning of a second creation of mankind. Those who are in Christ, are greater than those of the Old Covenant that were not in Christ. For a better understanding of a new creation of mankind, get the Mini-Books, "A New Creature," by Merle E. Koepke. These can be downloaded freely from our Web sites listed on the first page of this mini-book.

In John 1:16,17, John the Baptist was speaking of Jesus, when he said, "...of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace...For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ."

In Acts 13:38,39, speaking of Jesus, it says, "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins...And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."

The difference between the Law of Moses and grace and truth is explained in Romans, Chapters Three through Six. In Romans 3:20 it says, "Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

This does not mean the Law of Moses is without effect. In Romans 6:1,2 it says, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?...God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" Then in Romans 6:16 it says, "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

Unless we have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, we will be deceived by the enemy working in the Churches today that call themselves Christians. Many have taken the name Christian, but are still operating by the corrupted version of the knowledge of good and evil.

The kingdom of God is rightly "the reign of God the Holy Spirit" within those who are truly born again. God cannot have fellowship with darkness (1 John 1:5-6). Those who walk in darkness are walking according to the corrupted version of the knowledge of good and evil.

Therefore, all throughout the New Testament, we will see that God cannot have fellowship with those who walk in darkness. The wrath of God will come upon many in the Body of Christ, because they will not glorify God, and do not put away the works of darkness, which are revealed in the Law of Moses.

Those who continue to do those things that are listed in Romans 1:18-32, can have their minds blinded by the god of this world. If God turns them over to a reprobate mind, Satan will blind their minds and lead them into destruction.

Over and over in the Epistles we are told that "those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:21; Eph. 5:5).

Get Wisdom

Part 2

In Proverbs 16:16, it says, "How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!" In Proverbs 4:7 it says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."

True wisdom comes when Christians obey the LORD, and do the will of God here on earth. Therefore, wisdom is submission to the LORD and the leading of the Holy Spirit in every area of our lives.

In 1 John 3:8 it tells us that "God is love (agape)." The English versions of the Bible do not render this word "agape" correctly. There are no equivalent English words that can perfectly render the Greek word "agape" correctly. The best description of the meaning of the word "agape" is in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. In the New King James Version it says, "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up...does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil...does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth...bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

That is a description of God, for God is love. When Christians walk in the likeness and image of God, they will be walking in this same love. That is wisdom, to walk as God walks.

We must be careful not to follow the ways of the world. In 1 John 2:15-17 it says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him...For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world...And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

God did not send us into this world to love the world. The world is in corruption, and Satan is the beginning of all corruption. The world does not walk in "agape" love. Almost everything we see is corrupted by the Devil.

The true love of God always prefers others before themselves. In the world, it is the opposite. People of the world prefer themselves before others. They seek their own desires before the desires of others. They do whatsoever they can to get for themselves everything they desire. They lie, cheat, steal, and whatsoever they can to get what they want for themselves. The more they have the more they want. This is walking in the likeness of Lucifer (now called Satan the Devil).

The world walks contrary to the two commandments that Jesus gave us. They do not love God. Some even say there is no god. Money is more important to many than the love of God. They are after all the money they can get, and it does not make any difference to them how they get it. In Matthew 6:24, Jesus said, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." The word "mammon," means "wealth, riches, money." Therefore, Jesus said in Matthew 19:23,24 "Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven...And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

In 1 Timothy 6:9,10 it says, "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition...For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

The kingdom of God is not controlled by money. The kingdom of God is controlled by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The anointing of the Holy Spirit only operates according to the Word of God. The Word of God comes from the Father, through the Son, and then is manifested by the Holy Spirit.

Those who believe that money is the answer to all their needs are following a wrong spirit (the spirit of destruction). Satan is the father of destruction, called corruption many times in the New Testament.

In Galatians 6:7,8 it says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap...For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Reaping corruption is the opposite of reaping everlasting life in heaven.

Nothing in this world can compare to what God has to offer us in heaven. In 1 Corinthians 2:9, it says, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Only Jesus knows what God has prepared in heaven for those that love Him. God will not reveal His secret things to those who will not obey Him.

In heaven everyone loves everyone. Everyone walks in the love of God, preferring others before themselves.

In heaven, God is the source of everything. Whatsoever anyone needs, God will supply it. There is no lack of anything in heaven. Everything is supplied by the Creator of heaven and earth. "For with God all things are possible" (Luke 1:37). The LORD said to Abraham, "Is any thing too hard for the LORD?" (Gen. 18:14). Jesus said to His disciples in Mark 11:22, "Have faith in God."

The world does not have faith in God. Therefore the world does not have wisdom, knowledge, or understanding of the plan of God for those who will obey the LORD.

Satan lost his position in heaven, and he doesn't want anyone to obtain what he lost. Satan knows it is too late to even consider obtaining that which he lost. Satan does not have any love. There is no love in him.

Satan does everything he can to blind the minds of people that they do not even get any idea of what it is like in heaven. Satan corrupted the anointing he had, that enabled him to have whatsoever God promised. Satan was not satisfied with what he had and wanted to become like God himself.

Now Satan does not want anyone to know that, whatsoever we have need of God will supply it, if we will do the will of God in our lives. Jesus told us that whatsoever we have need of God will supply, if we will do the will of God.

Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-33. Jesus said, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?...Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?...Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?...And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin...And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these...Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?...Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?...(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things...But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

This is all based upon our seeking "...first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness..." Has God ever lied to anyone? No. God has never lied to anyone. The problem Christians have, is that they have been taught by the world, to live like the world lives. They have not put faith in God, and His Word.

When Christians love the world and the things that are in the world, the love of God the Father waxes cold. Jesus said in Matthew 24:11,12, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many...And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." This is what is happening in the world, and even in the churches today. The more they love the world and the things in the world, the less God can do for them. They hinder God from working in their lives by their love for the world and the things that are in the world.

Their love for the world and the things in the world lead to "...the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life..." (1 John 2:16). The serpent used "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life" to deceive Eve in the beginning (Gen. 3:6). The Devil has not changed. He is still doing the same things he did in the beginning.

What happened to the faith of God that was given Christians in the new birth? For the most part, it has been corrupted by the teachings of men, who are walking according to the corrupted knowledge of good and evil that came in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned and ate of the forbidden tree.

Adam and Eve could have eaten of the tree of life in the midst of the garden and obtained eternal life and lived with God forever. Eve listened to the serpent that spoke the words of Satan, the Devil.

The first thing Christians need to do is get to know the Truth. Then walk in the Truth, and cast down all thoughts that do not agree with the inspired written Word of God, which is the revelation of the knowledge of God given to us. In 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 it tells us, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh...(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)...Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ...And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

Until we understand what Jesus was saying when He gave us the two commandments for the New Covenant, we will be deceived by the teachings of men. If we do what Jesus told us to do, and keep the two commandments He gave us, we will have victory in our lives.

God Himself is love. We must become like God Himself, otherwise we will be deceived. God gives us love (agape) when we are born again of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5). The love of God is the first of the fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22,23. That love of God must control everything we do in life.

We have a choice. We can walk in the love of God or we can choose to follow the corrupted ways of the world. If we do as Jesus said, and keep His two commandments we will be endued with the anointing and the power of God to do all that God has planned for our lives. We do not need to follow Lucifer, or anyone who is following his example.

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is our example. In 1 Corinthians 15:49 it says, "And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly." We must follow Jesus in every area of our lives. In 1 John 2:6 it says, "He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."

God does not tell us to do something unless He first gives us the ability to do what He says. Therefore, following what Jesus taught will enable us to walk as Jesus walked.

God gives wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to those who walk in the image of Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 15:47-49 it says, "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven...As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly...And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly."

Being that Christians are no longer in Adam, but in Christ Jesus, we must put off the old man of the flesh and put on the new man which is created in the likeness and image of Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 4:22-24 it says, "That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts...And be renewed in the spirit of your mind...And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

God does not give wisdom to those who walk after the flesh. Christians who walk after the flesh are still walking according to the course of this world. They are still following the god of this world, who has blinded the minds of those who do not believe the Gospel of Christ (2 Cor. 4:4). God only gives wisdom to those who walk in the Spirit.

Lucifer had wisdom from God. Lucifer corrupted the wisdom that God gave him (Ezek. 28:12-19). God will not permit Christians to have the wisdom of God if they are going to follow the example of Lucifer and corrupt it. God cannot have fellowship with darkness.

Without wisdom, knowledge is useless. Knowledge will destroy those who do not have wisdom. The world operates by the knowledge of good and evil. The world is being destroyed because they are following the god of this world, who is Satan the Devil.

Within the Churches today, many are operating in the corrupted gifts of the Spirit. Satan is manifesting the corrupted gifts of the Spirit in many Churches today.

The corrupted manifestations are not from God. They are of the Devil, who corrupted them in the beginning. When the LORD comes for those who are faithful He will separate the sheep from the goats (Matt. 25:31-46).

Before Christians come before the LORD on their last day, they need to repent of all the false operations of the Spirit that they have been involved in. These are not from God. They are from the Devil. Those who operate in the false gifts of the Spirit are being deceived by the enemy.

Jesus said in Luke 24:47, "And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." This applies to everyone who has in any way been deceived and following the spirits of this world.

There was a Word from the LORD years ago, saying, "Those who have taught what they heard other men teach and have not received it from My Spirit, if they will repent, My grace will cover them!" God is love, and does not desire that any should perish. If those who have been deceived will repent, they will be forgiven.

Once they repent and are forgiven, God will give them wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of His will for them here on earth. Those who obey the LORD will be saved.

In Hebrews 5:8,9 it says, "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered...And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him." Eternal salvation is only for those who obey the LORD.

The LORD gave us instructions on what to do and how to do the perfect will of God. It all begins with walking in the love of God which is shed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5).

When we walk in love, we will be following the example of Jesus Christ. When we walk in love, God will enable us to fulfill the call of God on our lives by giving us the anointing of the Holy Spirit to do the works that Jesus did. Without the true anointing of the Holy Spirit, we cannot do the perfect will of God.
