The Bible says in Genesis 5:24, "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." The Bible also tells us that "God is not a respecter of persons" (Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Gal. 2:6; Eph. 6:9; Col. 3:25; 1 Peter 1:7). There are many verses in the Bible that tell us that God is not a respecter of persons. There are also a number of verses that tell us that "God cannot lie," such as Titus 1:2, which says, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began." See also Numbers 23:19 and Hebrews 6:18.

Therefore, if God is not a respecter of persons, and God cannot lie, then if Enoch could walk with God (even before the flood of Noah's time), surely we can walk with God today.

How many people today would like to walk with God, even like Enoch walked with God? How many are willing to do what God tells us in His Word and walk with God? All it takes is to do what we have already been told in the Bible. If we will be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, we can also walk with God today.

What does it take to walk with God? It takes a desire in our heart to walk with God. If you have a true desire to walk with God you can Walk With God!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the people around you would say, that person doesn't live like others? That person knows how to walk with God and live above all the others around him. You can be that person if you truly want to. God is not a respecter of persons. God looks at our hearts, and works with us according to the desires in our hearts.

Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, then God took him to heaven to be with Him forever. If Enoch could do it, so can you. But we must understand, Enoch didn't walk with God for only one day, and then God took him. It's not a quick fix. It's not a quick way out. It's a lifetime commitment. Enoch walked with God for three hundred years before God took him. Are you willing to walk with God for three hundred years (here on earth) first, before God takes you to heaven? If you are not willing, then your heart is not right before God. God looks at your heart. Where is your heart?

Don't let the world or the things in this world hold you back. The best way to walk with God is to get your eyes off the world, and get them focused upon God. When we focus upon God we see things differently than the world sees them.

When our eyes are upon God, we walk at a higher level than the world walks. When we see God as He is, we begin to see ourselves as God sees us. Look how God sees us in Ephesians 2:6. It says, "He (that is God), hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Do you see yourself sitting here on earth trying to do the best you can to please God? If you do, you need to see yourself from God's point of view. You cannot walk with God by just trying to do the best you can. You must believe God's Word.

In Amos 3:3 it asks this question, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" When you know what that means, then you know what you must do if you want to walk with God.

Do you know God? That is, "do you truly know God?" Do you think the way God thinks? In Isaiah 55:8 it says, " thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." How can anyone walk with God if they don't think the way God thinks? God said in Isaiah 55:9, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

If we are to walk with God, we must change our thoughts and our ways. We cannot keep thinking the way we always did and agree with God. We cannot keep doing things our way (as we always did), and walk with God at the same time. We must make a change in our thoughts and our ways.

To do this, we must get to know God, not just know about God. There are multitudes of Christians today who know about God. But there are very few that truly know God. What I mean is, to know God by experience, not just to know about God.

For many years (from a child), I knew about God. I went to Church regularly, and even taught Sunday School and was on Church Councils. But, I really didn't know God by experience until I was forty-five years old.

When I was forty-five years old, I asked the LORD to take over my life, and be my LORD. When you ask the LORD to do something that He wants to do, then you come into agreement with God. When you are in agreement with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).

About three days after I received Jesus as LORD in my life, I experienced the supernatural ability of God working in my life. I was sitting in my living-room when all of a sudden, I saw myself standing on a big white fluffy cloud in the sky. I was looking down on the earth and saw what was happening on earth. I saw people in the Olympics, diving from a high tower into a pool. They were competing for a prize in the Olympics. What they were really doing was trying to gain a position and respect in this world. They wanted to be someone of importance.

I also saw everything I had accumulated over the years toward my goal in life. I had at one time, three two-family houses. I was intending to have five by the time I was fifty-five years old. Then, I thought I could retire and just maintain the buildings and collect the rent.

While standing on that big white fluffy cloud in the sky, there came a bright light shining down from heaven. Then a voice spoke to me, saying, "All of this will pass away. The only thing that will matter is your relationship with Me." Instantly, I was back in my body in my living-room. That experience with the LORD helped change my life. Every experience we have with God should make a change in our lives.

If we are going to walk with God, we need to experience God in our lives. Knowing all about God is not enough. We need to experience God working in our life every day.

From that day in June of 1979, I began to experience God working in my life in many ways. From 1979 to 2007 (which it is at this time), I have experienced God working in my life hundreds of times. Everyday, God is real to me in my life. The Word of God comes alive in me. The Word of God manifests in my life the way the Bible says it will.

The Bible says, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Rom. 8:31). What does this mean to you? To me, it means, if God is for me, who cares who is against me? "For with God, nothing shall be impossible" (Luke 1:37). Why is it that nothing shall be impossible if God is for us? Simply, because we understand what it means in Acts 17:28, where it says, "For in him we live, and move, and have our being..." If we are in God, and God is for us, why not walk with God?

There is a peace and joy in walking with God. God does things in our lives that the world cannot do. God does it in such a way that even the world cannot understand it. Neither can we figure it out in our natural mind.

God is for us, and not against us. God wants to do things in our lives that the world cannot do. God wants to use us to help others. When we know God, and know His Word, we can help others to know and experience God working in their lives.

One day I went to lunch with a Christian brother in the LORD. When we sat down to eat, he looked at me and said, "Merle, I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't have enough money coming in to pay my bills. I've been in business for thirty-years. I keep up my advertizing, I'm doing everything the way I always did, but the work and the money are not coming in." I said to him, "Why don't you go over to John 14:13,14, and ask the LORD to bring in work for you, that you have enough to pay your bills?" He looked at me, and I said to him, "Just ask the LORD to bring in the work your need, and then thank and praise Him for doing it." "Do this every morning, thank Him and praise Him, and He will bring in the work you need!"

About two weeks later, he called me and told me, he had all the work he could do, and was making a lot of money to pay his bills. A number of times he told me, the work is coming in and the money is coming, and he would say, "And you and I know it's not my advertizing."

In January He called me and said, "Merle, I just wanted to tell you, I have to pay over $3,000 additional taxes today." He made more money in the last six months of that year than he made all year the year before.

Why are Christians struggling for money to pay their bills? Why do Christians need to work day and night to get by? God is their Father. God wants to help them in everything they have need of. Why not walk with God and let God take care of us in everything we have need of?

God is for us, not against us. In August of 2003 my vehicle did not pass the emissions test. It already had more than 240,000 miles on it. I decided I was not going to repair it, but rather buy another vehicle instead. I started looking for another good used vehicle. The first day I didn't find a vehicle like I wanted. The next day I went to visit a Pastor friend of mine. On the way back from his house I stopped at a Car Dealership to look for a vehicle.

When I entered the dealership, a salesman came out to meet me, asking if he could help me. I told him what type of vehicle I was looking for and he said he had one. The asking price on the vehicle was $6,995.00. I knew in my spirit that I should not pay more than $3,500.00 for the vehicle I wanted. I never told the salesman how much I would pay for a vehicle. I let that up to the LORD to work with the salesman for me. The salesman keep coming down with the price, first $5,000.00, then $4,500.00 then $4,000.00, and I kept saying, "I'll just keep looking around, I don't need to buy a vehicle today, I just started looking for one. I have time to find one." Then he asked me, "If I could get this vehicle for you for $3,500.00 would you buy it?" I said "If you can, I will buy it!"

That day I bought that vehicle. That same day, about 7:00pm I was about to go to bed. The temperature in the house was about 85 degrees and outside it was about 79 degrees. I had two fans running in the windows, blowing cooler air into the house. I was ready to go to bed. I only had my house coat on when I thought, I better not go to bed yet, but rather lay in the livingroom for a while, then shut the fans off before going to bed.

I laid down on the davenport for about a half-hour and fell asleep. While sleeping I felt someone's cold hand grab my foot. I jumped and said, Hey! I looked, and beside the davenport, by my feet stood two angels dressed in US Army combat uniforms. They did not have any weapons, and only a small dress cap on their head.

They stood near my feet looking at me (about four feet from my face). There was no fear, and they did not look as though they intended to do anything but look at me. They stood there like two people waiting for someone to take their picture.

I looked them over very carefully, from the combat boots up to the top of their heads. They did not have any identification on them, no rank, no name tag, none-whatsoever. They were both about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds. They were both of white complexion. One had blond hair the other one had black hair. They were clean shaven, no mustache, no beard. Their uniforms had a perfect press, as if it had just come from a dry-cleaners.

Then I was staring in their faces to see if I might know who they were? I did not recognize either one as someone I knew. They never said a word to me and I did not try to speak to them. After a few seconds of me looking at them and them looking at me they disappeared.

Why did those two angels appear to me? I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that God is for us, not against us. God is interested in everything we do in this life. God will do whatsoever He needs to do to help us and protect us every day we live on this earth.

God is not a man like people in this world. God is GOD, and nothing is impossible for God. God loves us more than we can ever imagine. God is for us, not against us.

If we will walk with God, He will take care of us in every area of our lives. He is God, and He knows what to do and how to do it.

If we are going to walk with God, we will need to walk in agreement with God (Amos 3:3). We will need to think the way God thinks and do things the way God does things (Isa. 55:8,9).

God loves people, that is why the LORD God created man in the beginning. God loves man so much that He created man in His own likeness and image (Gen. 1:26-28, 2:7).

When you love God, the way God loves you, then you will experience the supernatural ability of God in your life. You will also experience how God uses people to help those who love Him.

We must be willing to give to others that which God has given us. When God teaches us something, we must be willing to share what He has taught us with others.

I met a married couple a few years ago. They were Christians, but not experiencing the love of God in some areas of their lives. They knew there was more to being a Christian than what they were experiencing.

I began to share with them some of what I had learned over the years by giving them some of the books I had written. The more they read the books the more they got excited about what I was teaching them in the books I had written.

The more they read the books, the more they began to experience God working in their lives. Now, these two people are not little children. They are in their 80's. But, God doesn't look at age like people do. Remember that Enoch was three hundred-sixty-five years old when God took him. So someone being in their 80's is still very young.

In the world, the world thinks that when you get over fifty you are an old person already. When you get past sixty-five they think you should stop working and get ready for when you die. That's the worlds thinking, and many never get to be sixty-five.

God doesn't think the way we think. If we are going to walk with God, we will need to change the way we think. Now, for this couple, being that I am a man, I did a lot more talking and working with the husband than I did with his wife. Although, his wife loved the LORD, and was a Christian since she was a little girl, they both needed help in their work with the LORD.

Many things happened over the few years we have been working together in the Word. But we need to see how God works, not just how people work.

God works from our spirit, not our mind. This is why most Christians miss what God is doing and how God does things. They don't know how to hear from God from their spirit.

As the husband learned how God works from his spirit, and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues their whole life changed for the better.

The husband would pray in the Spirit all the way to work and all the way back many times. This was over an hour to work and over an hour back from work. By this, his praying in the Spirit came to an average of about two or more hours a day. Praying in the Spirit is talking to God. In 1 Corinthians 14:2 it says, "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." If we are to walk with God, we need to talk with God also.

God is so wonderful. In these two peoples lives, they have seen more of what God can do and will do than many Pastors of Churches today. It's sad, but it's true. Oh! How important it is to talk with God and believe His Word.

One day this husband's wife got sick. It started with a condition similar to a cold or virus. Then she started to lose her memory. Then she had a slight condition with her heart. Then she also lost her ability to walk normally. She needed a walker to walk, and could hardly pick up her feet (she almost had to slide her feet as she moved). She had many doctors working on different conditions, trying to help her. They had her taking a lot of medications and she didn't seem to be getting any better.

Praise the LORD, for He knows what to do and how to do it. This husband and wife kept praying and believing every day. The wife would say to her husband, "I'm already healed, I don't need to go to the doctor." But, they used wisdom and continued to believe while she kept taking the medication.

The doctors had told the husband that he should think about getting his wife into a place where they had elderly care available twenty-four hours a day. They mentioned that she is already over eighty-years old. (Would you believe, the Bible does not put an age limit on healing).

After about five weeks or so, the LORD impressed upon them to cut the medication in half. The husband and his wife agreed to cut the medication in half. Within days, the wife felt much better. So, they decided to cut out all the medication. Within a few days she was back to normal. Her memory was back to normal. Her walking was back to normal. Her coughing and other conditions left. She was healed by the LORD working with them. Today, she still drives her car, goes places, and does her house work like she always did.

When we believe God and believe His Word, God will work with us to overcome sickness and disease. God will work with us to do what needs to be done that we can walk in health. It must be God working in us and through us, not people doing things on their own. God will let us know what to do and when to do it. (Hardheaded people will not hear from God).

You cannot force God to do what you want Him to do. But, when your heart is right toward God, He will guide you through everything in your life. You do not need to be sick. But, you are still in this world. Therefore, to remain healthy you need God working in your life. What the world cannot do, God can do.

If we want to walk with God, we must be willing to help others learn to know God and to walk with God also. God will work in our lives, if we will help others to know God and walk with God also.

Enoch is a great example of what a person can do if they are determined to walk with God. But you know, there is someone else who is even a greater example of what people can do if they will walk with God.

Have you ever considered JESUS? Jesus walked with God and He is the greatest example of what a person can do if he will walk with God. Jesus was never sick, and never had any disease. Jesus always paid His bills (Matt. 17:26,27). Jesus was never broke. Jesus gave to the poor (John 13:29). Jesus had multitudes of people who loved Him and wanted to be around Him. Wherever Jesus went people loved Him.

Yes, there were some who didn't like Jesus. But, that's the way the world is today. We don't need to worry about those who don't like us, Jesus didn't worry. Jesus prayed for those who didn't like Him. Later on, many of those who didn't like Jesus believed on Him and joined those who loved Jesus.

When we walk with God, the devil doesn't like us. But, that's ok, God loves us. God can handle the devil if we walk with God.

If we study the life of Enoch, we can learn a lot. But there will still be many questions we will have that the Bible doesn't tell us about Enoch. But, the Bible tells us a lot about Jesus. Jesus Himself, tells us a lot about how He walked with God.

If we study all that Jesus said and did, we will have a lot of information on how to walk with God like Jesus walked with God. Didn't Jesus say in John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father"?

Jesus said, whatsoever He did we can do also. Jesus said, we can do what He did if we will follow His example. If we will do things the way Jesus did them, we can walk with God also. We can learn from Jesus, how to do the Father's will. If we do the Father's will, we will spend eternity with the Father in heaven.

Besides all that, we will also be able to talk to Enoch and learn a lot more about Enoch. We will have all eternity to get to know God better than anyone here on earth. We will get to spend eternity with multitudes of people who walked with God.

Isn't it wonderful to know that God loves us so much? God wants to spend eternity with us? Isn't it wonderful that God also wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven?

That is God's plan for everyone who will desire in their heart to walk with God. That is God's plan for us in eternity. But, what about now, while we are still here on earth? What about walking with God here on earth also?

Did you know that God loves us so much that He wants to walk with us here on earth. God wants to dwell in us and be our God. In 2 Corinthians 6:16 it says, "God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

Are you one of those people who God wants to dwell in and walk in, and be your God? If you are, then receive Jesus as your LORD, similar to what I did when I was forty-five years old. Ask the LORD to take over your life and be your LORD and Savior. Then, receive Him and love Him and get to know Him. Study the Bible every day. Pray every day. Do what Jesus said you should do.

Receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit so that you have the power to do the works that Jesus did (John 12:14, Acts 1:5,8, 2:4).
